Cairns
is the gate to the wonders of nature, and is worth a few days of visit,
a city located between humid forests and the ocean, with a sweet breeze,
a touristy place with lots of charm. In Cairns, people can even have
a swim in special pools created next to the sea to avoid the danger
of jellyfish...
Brisbane
has almost all of the qualities of other Australian cities: a bustling
centre next to the ocean, a large river, museums, exhibitions, restaurants
and cafes. Brisbane is a little different, though: the place to be isn't
the animated pedestrian centre but the banks of the river, with its
walks, cultural places, parks and pools.

Ocean road and National Parks
From
Sydney to Melbourne, a few beaches, some villages, small fishing ports…
but most of all, it is worth following this road for the incredible
national parks along the ocean. Imagine gigantic trees, tracks and paths,
lapping waves.
During
the day, we walk through the forest or along the beach and discover
a well-preserved nature. At dusk, we return to the camp and have dinner
next to the fire, and listen to the animals: laughing birds in the trees,
hungry wombats and playful opossums.

From Melbourne to Adelaide, the road is totally different: no National
Park anymore but a great spectacular ocean road, between blue waters,
wonderful beaches and amazing vegetation which slowly creeps down the
hill...
Travelling
on the Great Ocean Road is also the perfect occasion to observe the
Twelve Apostles, rocks coming out of the oceans. At the end of the day,
their shades are beaten by the violent waves.
