Religion & diversity in Malaysia

One of Malaysia's most interesting and fascinating aspects is its successful mix between different cultures. Malaysia is a multicultural society, with Malays, Chinese and Indians living side by side. Religions are numerous and living together in the country : Islam is the State religion, but freedom of religion is guaranteed. Hinduism is present here for more than 1500 years, Catholicism also has some influence; the Chinese religion (a mix between Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism) can be seen everywhere, through many temples.
